What Humata does
Humata is an AI tool that reads the files you upload and answers questions based on what they contain. You can ask it to summarize long technical papers, compare documents, or search for specific answers, and you can keep asking until the summary suits you. Answers come with cited links back to the source files, so you can trace where an insight came from. According to its homepage, it can also be embedded in a webpage, and it offers role-based access controls for teams.
Team also lists department and folder permissions, OCR for images and scanned text, and response personalization. Enterprise pricing is custom and handled through the sales team.
Billing is a monthly subscription. The vendor says some plans include usage-based billing tied to pages accessed and questions asked per month, while its homepage advertises unlimited questions. No yearly prices are published.

Our take
Humata suits individuals, small teams and research-heavy groups who need answers drawn from their own documents, with citations to check them. The Free plan, which the vendor says needs no credit card, is a low-risk way to try it, and the paid tiers scale by pages and users. It fits less well if you want flat pricing: extra pages are billed per page, some plans may add usage-based charges, and Team is priced per user. Groups larger than 10 people must talk to sales about Enterprise.
