What Culture Amp does

Culture Amp is an employee experience platform that brings engagement surveys, performance management and development tools into one product. The Engage module covers ready-to-use survey templates, pulse surveys, benchmarking, a Performance Culture Quadrant diagnostic, DEI and onboarding or offboarding surveys, and AI comment summaries. The Perform module adds continuous feedback, performance reviews with calibration, 1-on-1 conversations, development plans, goal management and shoutouts.

AI Coach is built into both modules. According to the vendor, it summarizes survey results, suggests action plans and helps managers draft communications. People Science Consulting is offered as an add-on to Engage and Perform.

Every plan includes AI Coach, a multilingual platform, SSO and encryption, HRIS integrations, and Slack and MS Teams integrations.

Culture Amp suits HR teams that want engagement surveys and performance management from one vendor, with AI guidance for managers. It looks most relevant for mid-sized and enterprise organizations, since the service tiers are split by headcount and the top tier is aimed at enterprise companies. The trade-offs are clear. There are no public prices, no free plan and no self-serve trial on the pages, so you must talk to sales to learn the cost. Annual billing is the only model stated. Teams that need a quick, low-cost survey tool, or that want to compare prices before contacting a vendor, may find this a poor fit.
