What Elementor does

Builds WordPress pages in a drag-and-drop editor, with AI to draft pages and plans, plus bundled services such as image optimization and cookie consent.

Elementor is a website builder for WordPress. Its core is a visual drag-and-drop editor with global styles and motion effects. AI features can draft whole pages and sections to match a site's design system, and an AI Site Planner produces a brief, a sitemap and wireframes. Other tools cover forms, popups and lead capture, WooCommerce store building, bulk image conversion to WebP and AVIF, a cookie consent banner, and a dashboard for updates, security risks and database optimization.

Pricing starts with a no-cost Editor tier, with Editor Pro as the paid upgrade. Paid plans are shown in euros. Billed yearly, the per-month prices are Essential €5, Advanced Solo €7, Advanced €9 and Expert €17. Essential and Advanced Solo cover 1 site, Advanced covers 3 sites and Expert covers 25 sites. Essential does not include the Popup Builder, custom code and CSS, eCommerce features or Collaborative Notes.

The Elementor One plans are built around monthly credits. One is €15 per month billed yearly and includes 1 site and 25,000 monthly One credits. One Agency is €36 per month billed yearly and includes unlimited sites and 350,000 monthly One credits. The pricing page also shows higher regular rates, so check the renewal price there before buying. Unused credits do not roll over, and one AI action costs between 1 and 40 credits. Elementor One does not include hosting. The 30-day money-back guarantee applies only to annual plans. The facts do not show a monthly-billing price for any plan.

  • Essential has no Popup Builder, custom code and CSS, eCommerce features or Collaborative Notes

Our take

Elementor suits people who already run, or plan to run, a WordPress site and want visual control over layout, with AI help for drafting pages and planning structure. Freelancers and agencies may find the Expert plan (25 sites) or One Agency (unlimited sites) the closest match. The trade-offs are clear from the official pages: hosting is not included in Elementor One, the cheapest Essential plan leaves out popups, custom code and CSS, and eCommerce features, and One credits reset every month, so heavy AI use needs planning. The money-back guarantee covers only annual plans, and the pages do not state a free trial, a public API or platforms beyond WordPress. Anyone wanting a standalone hosted builder outside WordPress should look elsewhere. Check the renewal rate on the pricing page before committing.
