What LiveAgent does
Turns email, chat, phone and social messages into tickets in one shared inbox, with AI to draft replies and answer chats.
LiveAgent is a cloud help desk from Quality Unit that gathers email, live chat, phone calls, social media messages and contact forms into one shared inbox. Each message becomes a ticket the team can assign, answer and track. A knowledge base lets customers look up answers on their own.
AI features include a chatbot for live chat, an Answer Assistant that drafts ticket replies for an agent to review, and ticket summaries. The vendor says AI is included in every plan with no AI fees: you connect your own OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini or FlowHunt account and pay that provider directly.
Pricing is per agent per month. Starter covers up to 5 agents, Team up to 15 and Business any team size, while Enterprise is a flat fee with 80 agents included. During a special offer until November 22, 2026, Starter is $15 per month billed monthly or $11 per month billed yearly, Team is $26 or $22, and Business is $44 or $38. Regular prices are higher. Every plan has a 30-day free trial without a credit card. There is no free plan. Social channels and calls start on Team, and the product is cloud only.

Pros and cons
Pros
- Email, chat, phone, social messages and contact forms land in one shared inbox as tickets
- AI is included in every plan; the vendor charges no AI fees, you pay your own provider
- 30-day free trial on every plan, with no credit card required
- Per-agent pricing for Starter, Team and Business, with a flat-fee Enterprise option
- Business and Enterprise add an MCP server for connecting external AI tools
Cons
- No free plan; the vendor says LiveAgent has none
- Cloud only, so it cannot run on your own servers
- Social channels and calls are not on Starter; they start on Team
- You need an AI provider account, and its usage is billed separately by that provider
- Each plan except Enterprise caps the number of AI agents
Our take
LiveAgent suits small and growing support teams that want email, chat, phone and social messages handled in one place, and that are happy to bring their own AI provider account. The per-agent pricing is easy to read, and the 30-day trial needs no card. It is a poor match if you need to host the help desk yourself, want a permanent free plan, or need IT asset and change management. Phone and social channels require Team or higher, and AI costs come from your provider on top of the plan price.
