What Momentic does

Momentic is a testing platform where an AI agent checks your application from the user's side. You describe a user flow and its expected result in plain-English YAML files, which your team and your coding agent can review and keep in the repository next to the code. Momentic then runs those tests against your app, on the web as well as on hosted Android emulators and iOS simulators.

When the interface changes, the platform can find controls again during a run, and a permanent repair can be proposed as a diff for you to review. When a run fails, you can inspect the failing step with screenshots and traces, and failures can be sorted into application bugs, test flakiness or environment issues. A Knowledge base lets you add product terminology and expected behavior so the agent has context. A CLI lets you run the same tests locally and in CI, using its exit code as a merge or deploy check, and MCP lets a coding agent author tests.

Pricing is usage-based and measured in credits. The Free plan costs $0 and includes 2,000 credits per month, with a hard stop at the limit. Pay-as-you-go costs $125 per month plus additional usage and includes 10,000 credits per month, with extra credits billed on top. Enterprise pricing is custom and handled through sales. Unused credits do not roll over, and hosted mobile time draws more credits per minute than browser time.

  • Disposable email inboxes

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Free plan at $0 with 2,000 credits per month and no credit card required
  • Tests are plain-English YAML that can be versioned and reviewed in your repository
  • CLI exit codes can serve as a required CI check before merge or deploy
  • Hosted Android emulators and iOS simulators are available alongside browsers
  • Failed runs can be classified as application bugs, flakiness or environment issues

Cons

  • Usage-based credits make monthly cost depend on how many steps and minutes you run
  • Unused credits do not roll over; the balance resets each billing cycle
  • The Free plan stops at its limit, and has 0 phone numbers for SMS/OTP testing
  • Hosted mobile time costs 8 credits per minute on Android and 15 on iOS
  • Enterprise features such as SAML SSO and SCIM need a custom, sales-quoted plan

Our take

Momentic suits teams that want end-to-end checks written as readable YAML and reviewed with the code, especially if a coding agent is already part of their workflow and they want CI to gate merges. The free tier, with no credit card required, makes it possible to evaluate it before paying. The trade-offs are the credit model and its limits: usage is metered, unused credits expire each cycle, and mobile testing consumes credits quickly. Teams that need predictable flat pricing, or that need Enterprise features such as SAML SSO, must talk to sales for a quote.
