What Glide does

Glide, whose current product the pricing page calls GlideOS, is a platform for building internal business apps and AI agents. You can begin with a spreadsheet, a written prompt, a PDF or a screenshot, and the built-in agent assembles a working app meant for desktop and phone. A feature called SheetSense reads the formulas, lookups and notes in your sheets so the result reflects how the data is used.

The vendor says apps stay private to your company by default. Access can be set down to the row, and an audit log records builds, changes and publishing. Outside agents such as Claude, Gemini and ChatGPT can connect over MCP and build into the same apps and permissions, and the vendor lists more than 1,000 connectable services, including Gmail, Slack, Airtable and Salesforce. A marketplace offers pre-built app templates you can customize.

Pricing is credit based, because the agent uses LLM tokens that Glide standardizes as credits. The Free plan costs $0 per month and has limited credits, 2 team members and 10 projects. Basic is $25 per month with 100 credits, Plus is $50 per month, and Pro is $125 per month and starts at 5 team members with 50 credits included per member. Enterprise pricing is custom. Extra credits can be bought on paid plans only, and annual plans are listed as coming soon.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Free plan at $0 per month, so you can try it before paying
  • Starts from a spreadsheet, prompt, PDF or screenshot
  • Row-level roles, private-by-default apps and an audit log
  • Outside agents can build into the same apps over MCP
  • Lists more than 1,000 connectable services

Cons

  • Annual plans are not available yet, only monthly prices are shown
  • Usage is credit based, and extra credits are available on paid plans only
  • Separate from Glide Classic, with no tool to migrate existing Classic apps
  • Free plan caps projects at 10 and team members at 2, with limited credits
  • Enterprise price is not published and supported platforms are not clearly listed

Our take

Glide fits teams that keep operations in spreadsheets and want internal apps built by the people closest to the work, with an agent doing the building. The Free plan allows a trial before paying. It is less clear for buyers who need yearly billing, since annual plans are not yet offered, or who expect a fixed cost, because credits drive usage and extra credits cost more. GlideOS is also separate from Glide Classic, so existing Classic apps cannot be migrated and you would start fresh. Platform support beyond desktop and phone is not spelled out on the official pages.
